Kronic Relief is Hiring: Social Media & Community Outreach Manager (CLOSED!)

Are you a digitally savvy communicator with experience in community growth and social media management? Kronic Relief is looking for a Social Media and Community Outreach Manager. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you’ll be responsible for owning the brand’s content calendar and implementing our marketing plan across touchpoints.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the marketing director to help implement the marketing plan across social media
  • Develop and implement a social media strategy, including defining the most important KPIs
  • Create and maintain an editorial calendar that outlines the key dates relevant to the KR brand, its stakeholders, and the cannabis community at large
  • Own the overall content production flow for the KR brand across social media, including planning and posting on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and other relevant social media platforms
  • Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels and adapt content to suit different channels
  • Monitor the web for interesting content and brand mentions
  • Produce high-quality imagery and multimedia content for social media in the look and feel outlined in the social media style guide
  • Write captions in the voice and tone outlined in the social media style guide using relevant and trending hashtags where appropriate
  • Support marketing director in the development of email newsletters, including writing copy and supporting with design
  • Proofread website copy
  • Capture and edit important brand moments on Instagram stories for real-time distribution
  • Spend a minimum of 10 hours weekly engaging with key stakeholders across social media (liking, commenting, and following)
  • Communicate with industry influencers and accounts to build a strong network
  • Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to relevant posts and developing discussions where appropriate
  • Help CEO maintain and grow his personal brand presence by executing a thoughtful content strategy that ladders up to an editorial vision
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, best practices, tools, and technologies
  • Present key metrics to the Senior Management team
  • Reach out to dispensaries, including cold-calling, emailing, and in-person site visits


The ideal candidate should have: 

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
  • The ability to take initiative and own both large projects and small details of other marketing activities
  • A team player mentality, as we are a small but mighty team
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Experience working in the cannabis industry would be a plus
